About Course

A thriving workplace starts with the wellbeing of its people. This one-day workshop is designed to equip participants with essential knowledge and skills to perform self-care for their own mental wellbeing. The program focuses on creating awareness, understanding mental wellbeing, identifying signs of distress, and learn practical strategies to manage stress. Participants will learn to redefine interpersonal communication in the context of mental health, and differentiate between work stressor and mental health concerns. 

This workshop will introduce practical tools such as mental health screening, basic personality test, stress management techniques, emotion regulation techniques, and interpersonal communication skill. Through guided activities, mindfulness practices, and role-playing exercises, participants will develop confidence in identifying mental health challenges, maintaining their wellbeing, and knowing when to seek help when it is necessary.   

Lastly, this workshop also acknowledges another common stressor at work, which is interpersonal conflict, by equipping participants with the general knowledge to communicate with individual with different personality type. The emphasis of active listening and non-judgemental communication also aids in foster supportive workplace environment, identify early warning signs of mental disorders, and provide effective resources to those who are in needs.

What Will You Learn?

  • By the end of the course, participants should be able to
  • 1. Differentiate between wellbeing and happiness. Participants will understand the misconception of happiness, and emphasize on the pursue of value-based wellbeing.
  • 2. Recognize signs and symptoms. Participants will identify behavioural, emotional, cognitive, physical indicators of distress, as well as distinguish between normal stress, burnout, and common mental health disorders.
  • 3. Manage overwhelming emotions. Participants will explore different function of universal emotions, and develop skills to utilize the functions appropriately.
  • 4. Develop effective communication based on personality. Participants will identify their own True Colour Personality, understand each True Colour Personality style, and their do’s and don’ts in communication.
  • 5. Develop skills to mental support themselves and others. Participants will be equipped to basic self-care techniques that can be used for self and others.
